La Cuenca Cuenta Fiesta – Saturday, October 7 – Mason Park

This festival is intended to bring environmental education/awareness directly to the Greater East End Community. “La Cuenca Cuenta” translated means the watershed counts or the watershed tells a story. For this event, we believe both translations are meaningful. The festival will focus on watershed issues including:

• Our impact on local water quality
• Variety of native habitatas within our watershed
• The importance of various habitats within the watershed
• How we can improve our water quality
• How we can reduce our impacts on habitats
